PJ Day 2012

Every PJ Day we raise money for the poor. Some people in our community don't have a house to live in and they sleep outside in the cold. We think it is really important to help these people and this is why we celebrate PJ Day every year.

Why are the Olympic Games important to the world?

This term we will be learning about the Olympic Games. Our big question is

'Why are the Olympic Games important to the world?'.

Here is what we think....

  • Every four years everyone gets together and they don't fight. Bridie
  • The Olympics is a time when we get together and there is peace and we participate in events. Riley
  • At the Olympics everyone competes together. Adol
  • People share their talents. Sienna
  • Everyone in the world can get together and have lots of fun at the Olympics. Keira
  • People can learn new things. Kitty
  • Inspires us to become athletes. Cooper
  • The Olympics teach us how to be good sports. Peter
  • So people can visit different countries. Angus
  • It's not about winning but about having fun. Aerodyne
  • People learn about different countries. Maria
  • So the countries don't fight and we can be happy together. Brandon
